Principle of flaking: When flaking is in progress, the oilseed is subjected to the mechanical external force exerted by the relative rotation of the rollers, and changes from a granular state to a flake state.
The purpose of flaking is to destroy the cell tissue of the oilseed, increase the surface area of the oilseed, shorten the distance of oil outflow, facilitate oil extraction, and also help improve the effect of steaming and frying.
Requirements for rolling: the embryo is thin and uniform, with little powder and no oil leakage. The thickness of the embryo directly affects the oil yield of pressing and leaching. The thinner the embryo, the higher the oil yield. However, it is required to be thin but not broken, and the powder should be reduced as much as possible to avoid affecting the subsequent steaming, frying and pressing.
